but even nightmare children cry

unable to trust them

is she willing to take the chance
the leap of faith,
and where would it lead her
she's all alone, afraid, forgotten
she knows that she's not wanted
and still she longs for your embrace
the thought of you, of your existence
she smiles inside a glimmer of hope
she could be the girl of your dreams
but you cant see her,
she's living in the nightmare
the one place where she's accepted,
is the one place she wishes she could escape
and the happiness is gone ,
she forgets about the smiles , the laughter, the life
another tear falls, and she knows she's broken
just another nightmare child praying to be fixed
she hates herself so much,
she wants it all to end,
make the nightmare stop,
will anybody fix her
can you even see her

the hope she had is gone
there is no happily ever after
